The little things that make life big. Lessons from Pooh.

The thing about time: you can’t save it up. You can make more money, meet new people, or learn a new skill—but time? That’s the one thing we never get more of.
And yet, we treat it like we’ve got an endless supply. Like there’s always going to be another Monday to finally make that plan, another weekend to start the gym, or another tomorrow to really show up. But time doesn’t really work like that. It just keeps moving, whether we’re paying attention or not.
Earlier this year, I caught myself going through the motions—doing things more out of routine, rather than with purpose. It hit me: if I wasn’t careful, I was going to waste something I’d never get back. So I decided to start paying closer attention. To be more present with the people and things that matter to me.
A.A. Milne captured it perfectly. Through Pooh, he highlights friendship, being present, and noticing the small stuff. A few of my favorite Pooh quotes:
“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
“It’s more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like ‘What about lunch?’”
More of this energy :) Because how we spend our time is how we spend our lives.
