No Matter Where You've Been.. Reinventing the Present

The Olympic Sculpture Park is easily one of my favorite places in Seattle. Operated by The Seattle Art Museum, this nine-acre park stretches along Seattle’s waterfront, combining art and nature. Walking paths wind through green spaces, punctuated with sculptures from artists like Alexander Calder, Richard Serra, and Beverly Pepper. It’s a great place for a walk with friends or what I consider a magical outdoor run.
I like grabbing coffee from Monorail Espresso on Pine Street, before taking the 30-minute walk downtown to the park. The park is open year-round and free. During the Summer, you can catch a docent-led tour which I enjoyed for an extra layer of insight.
Illustrating a scene from the park, this thought hit me: No matter who you’ve been, appreciate the opportunity to learn something new and reinvent the present. Art and the outdoors hum with that energy—open, evolving, and nudging you to see things differently.
