I love making my own birthday cards and stationery. I reuse my illustrations—but you can use any art or photos you like ♡
It’s easy: print your design on copy paper and glue it to cardstock, or print directly on cardstock if your printer allows.
Voilà —custom cards, made by you.
Want to try mine? You can download all my illustrations right from the blog. 🎺🎸✨
Step-by-Step DIY Guide
- Download an illustration
Click on any image. Drag and drop to your computer.
- Resize the illustration
Before printing, reduce the image to about 50% of its original size so it fits neatly on a 4x6 card. Play around with the dimensions depending on the size card or style you’re after.
- Print
Print the image on regular copy paper. Or, if your printer allows, print straight to cardstock and skip the glue altogether.
- Mount on cardstock
Cut out the printed illustration and glue it to a piece of cardstock.
- Enjoy your custom stationery!
That’s it — you’ve got a cute, one-of-a-kind card, perfect for notes, or even framing.
- Envelopes: I like using colorful envelopes; like the ones offered at Papersource.
